New Product! - Rock-Prime DP
ROCK-TRED is pleased to introduce our new waterborne, deep penetrating epoxy primer ROCK-PRIME DP. ROCK-PRIME DP is a low viscosity, clear, primer with excellent adhesion and fast cure time. It is designed to penetrate into a prepared concrete slab and cure without leaving a heavy film build on top of the surface. ROCK-PRIME DP is able to be field pigmented using our Universal Colorants, but only requires a 1.5 Jar per 2.5 gallon mix. Contractors will be able to use this product as a low cost, quick turn clear or tinted primer capable of creating great bond strength and filling substrate porosity under standard RT systems. ROCK-PRIME DP can also be used as an inexpensive dustproofing concrete sealer and as a primer/sealer over stained concrete work to be followed by a high wear finish coat such as CHEM-THANE WB.
ROCK-PRIME DP offers these advantages
• Penetrates deeply leaving little or no surface film build
• Excellent adhesion to prepared concrete, wood, etc.
• Water based epoxy – its "Green" with no VOC and very low odor
• Fast cure
• Able to be pigmented using Universal Colorant – use ½ BagPak or one 1.5 Jar per 2.5 gallon mix
• High coverage rate and low cost
• Two kit sizes – 2.5 gal BagPak unit and a 25 gallon conventionally packed unit
After several months of re-formulation work ROCK-TRED has released our improved CHEM-THANE MATTE WB urethane. This updated formula retains the advantages of the original version such as very high coverage rates, virtually zero odors, high UV and stain and abrasion resistance. However, the improved CHEM-THANE MATTE WB is easier to apply without leaving streaks in the finish. This product is still packaged in one gallon units and there is no increase with the new formulation.
