INSTALLERS CORNER: The Advantages of Bag-Paks and RTE Colorants
Rock-Tred’s unique patented packaging system (Bag-Paks), make it very easy for contractors to mix our products quickly, accurately and with less waste and effort.
Our three gallon kits of our epoxy products come in a 5 gallon bucket. Inside this bucket are two “bladders” or Bag Paks. The resin (part A) is pre-measured and is one Bag Pak, the hardener(part B) is in the second Bag Pak.
These Bag Paks are made of extremely durable plastic, and have a screw off lid (for resealing), and a pull off tab to open the units. Mixing is as simple as opening both Bag-Paks, emptying the contents into the 5 gallon pail and mixing for 2-3 minutes….that’s it! No mess, no measuring, no room for human error.
If a contractor wants to pigment a batch, Rock-Tred sells RTE Colorant packs, that again are in Bag Paks and are pre measured specifically for a three gallon unit. (We recommend that the colorant is added to mix after the resin(part A) is added, then drilled at a low RPM for 2-3 minutes to insure proper color dispersion).
This ECO-Friendly method creates less waste, and is quicker and less messier than traditional mix methods, saving the contractor time, AND is only available from Rock-Tred!
